Last week, my colleagues and I attended HYUNDAI CRADLE Day Singapore 2024, focused on the theme “Factory of the Future: AI for Manufacturing.” The event provided valuable insights into how AI is shaping manufacturing and offered opportunities to connect with stakeholders from corporate, investment, and government sectors. As part of the experience, we toured the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS), gaining a glimpse into Hyundai’s innovative approaches to sustainability and manufacturing. Highlights included the Smart Farms showcase, demonstrating how advanced technologies enhance food security and self-sustainability, and the Factory VR Tour, which offered an immersive view of Hyundai’s modular and automated production processes. At Quantum Hub, we’re excited to see our startups taking their innovations to new heights, this time at the prestigious Open Innovation Lounge (OI Lounge), Hyundai Motor Group’s premier exhibition for pioneering vehicle technologies. ?? Maradin Ltd returned for the second consecutive year, collaborating with Hyundai HMETC and Continental to present their impressive 360-degree car projection system. Leveraging Maradin’s MEMS-based laser scanning technology and Continental’s expertise in automotive integration, they unveiled a solution that transforms vehicles into dynamic, colorful displays—all controlled seamlessly from a single interface. ?? The second showcase featured a unique partnership between Blink Technologies, Inc. and Noveto Systems, creating an immersive audio demonstration. Blink Technologies has developed an AI-based, ear-tracking software solution that can be deployed on any camera and run off any operating system. Together with Noveto’s groundbreaking SoundBeaming technology, which delivers sound directly to a listener’s ears without headphones, their demo was set up in a realistic car interior mockup and highlighted how both technologies seamlessly work together to revolutionize the in-car audio experience. We hosted CRADLE Day 2024 last Fri (15/11). This is CRADLE SG's annual flagship event where we bring together innovation ecosystem leaders to discuss latest tech trends. ?? CRADLE Singapore at SWITCH ?? David Goh, the Head of CRADLE Singapore, recently participated in a panel at the Singapore Week of #Innovation & #Technology (#SWITCH) 2024. Asked about what supporting tech developments would accelerate autonomous technologies in the supply chain, David replied: "Technologies like sensor fusion, supply chain simulations built on digital twin or metaverse, and robotics will help facilitate the proliferation of #autonomoustech. These technologies are of course already available today, but HOW they interact with each other, and what policies and regulations are put in place to ensure their safe and responsible execution will contribute greatly to the process." OI Lounge is an annual exhibition that takes place at the headquarters of Hyundai Motor Group in Seoul. Without an exception, groundbreaking tech showcasing the future of vehicle experiences took center stage this year. ? Of the many exhibitions, two exciting projects from CRADLE Tel Aviv?were featured in the event: ? Maradin Ltd?(with Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH and Continental): Demonstrated their MEMS-based laser projection technology, creating high-resolution, dynamic visuals that opens new possibilities for automotive, industrial, and consumer use. ? Noveto & Blink Technologies, Inc.: Demonstrated personalized speaker with audio-zone separation and face-tracking, delivering personalized sound without headphones for a tailored in-car experience. ? ?? Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of hosting the 9th Mobility Innovators Forum in together with HYUNDAI CRADLE, Plug and Play Tech Center, and Plug and Play Mobility. It was an exciting event packed with energy, innovation, and valuable insights into the future of mobility. We saw inspiring presentations, panels, and discussions that underscored the rapid advancements of AI and the ongoing transformations within the industry. A huge thank you to Hyundai Cradle, Plug and Play, the team on the ground and behind the scenes, our incredible speakers, and everyone who attended. Particularly big shoutout to my conversation buddies Sol Bier from Factorial Funds and Heng (Henry) Huang from Micron Ventures for being great conversationalists with a wide plethora of knowledge, expertise and sense of humor. Everyone who was there, your enthusiasm and expertise made this event a memorable experience, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share this space with such a dynamic community.
