It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our colleague, mentor, and most of all friend John DeStefano. As our Chief Architect, John led us on our journey to build and stand up our platform, which is at the core of everything we do. Along the way, our “Professor” always took the time to teach and mentor our staff. That spirit of collaboration and mentorship John exemplified will forever be?embedded in the culture and DNA of Hyphen. ? This week, I had the honor to represent Hyphen alongside G.T. Sweeney, Healthfirst CIO, at the 2024 KLAS Research K2 Collaborative Payer/Provider Summit in Salt Lake City Utah! For the second year in a row, Hyphen and Healthfirst received the Points of Light Award from KLAS Research for our combined efforts to improve payer-provider collaboration. This year’s award recognizes Hyphen and Healthfirst’s work with partners at PrimeRx.io to create the Pharmacy Assistant app, which supports Healthfirst’s Pharmacy Assistant Program and empowers community pharmacists within Healthfirst’s network to take action to improve medication adherence rates, increase members’ understanding of their health plan benefits, and get compensated for those actions. We’re thrilled to receive this recognition for our commitment to assist the community pharmacists that Healthfirst members know and trust to support their complex care journeys. Addressing medication adherence is critical for improving clinical outcomes for members and financial outcomes for mission-driven health plans such as Healthfirst.
