Today on our contest tips 101 ??, we’re talking about “Wheel Protection” design, a crucial element of the design that can make or break your bot wheels in battle. Right? Team HyperShock Here are the ideas you might want to consider while you create the Beast: ?? Bumper Protection: absorbs impact and deflects direct hits. ?? Placed Behind: positions wheels deeper inside the frame for natural shielding.??? Indestructible Tires: use airless or solid-core materials to eliminate puncture risks. ?? Classic Fender / Wing: Use solid fenders to enhance wheel protection while adding an aggressive, aerodynamic look. ?? Covered Wheels: add armor plating for extra defense but may affect agility.?? Enclosed or Hidden: designs conceal wheels inside the chassis for maximum protection.??? Wrapped Defense: uses flexible shielding to soften blows while maintaining movement. We'll be in Vegas THIS WEEKEND fighting with our new robot Hot Mess! We originally planned to compete with a new flipper robot called Vertigo, but we ran out of time and money before it could be completed. With just under 3 weeks left until our fights, we #pivoted to a totally different design using as many recycled and left-over parts as possible! It's come together in record time, and it's been some of the most fun building a robot we've had in ages. Can't wait to see what this baby can do! #BattleBots
