    In the last few months, Hyperbound is moving faster than ever. And a huge reason why? Dare I say... a SINGLE person has been the catalyst? ?????? It's International Women's Day today, and I have to shout out someone who's been absolutely crushing it—someone I can't imagine this team without: Mia Kosoglow. Last year, Josh Norris ???? reached out and told us, "You HAVE to talk to this person. She was an SDR at Outreach before, and badly wants to make the switch over from sales into marketing and I think she's exactly what we're looking for". I was intrigued to say the least, because I knew that switch couldn't be easy. After 1 call with her, Atul and I knew she was the real deal. Her energy was infectious and she brought a liveliness to the team that we didn't even realize we were really missing! In just 6 months, she's worked day and night to: ?? Revamp our entire content strategy ?? Run global virtual competitions (her first one? During Week 2 of onboarding ??) ?? Build strategic partnerships ??     ?? We talk a lot about how to break into a new field. Mia didn’t just break in—she’s now leading it. Today, on International Women’s Day, I want to highlight Mia Kosoglow from the Hyperbound team. 7 months ago, Mia was an SDR. This past week, she’s preparing to step into a leadership role in marketing, owning pipeline, revenue growth and strategy. Her journey wasn’t conventional. It wasn’t easy. But she made it happen. I still remember her first interview with us in Q3. She thought it was a 1:1 call—until six of us showed up. A full 6:1 panel of employees and advisors. Most people would have panicked. Mia? Unfazed. Hiring at a startup is tough. Especially when someone is making a career shift. But sometimes, you just know when someone is going to crush it. She had that "I'll figure it out" mindset from day one. And she did. ? She ran wildly successful sales competitions on LinkedIn ? Brought our customer stories to life, interviewing and sharing their journeys with the world ?     I was interviewing Priyansh Joshi while the last Hyperbound beat the bot challenge was going on. Priyansh made top of the leaderboard the same day I had my role-play with him. I had to cut the role-play short cause he had one of the best cold call role play I have ever heard. It was honestly perfection and he mastered every point in my call frameworks. I shot a message to Atul Raghunathan and Sriharsha Guduguntla during the interview at how wildly accurate and reflective of Priyansh's skills the Hyperbound score was. Did not think hiring evaluations or a candidate board was a use-case but here we are. Fast forward - he is flying. I do a 7 day condensed onboarding - he booked a demo on his first day dialing.     Hyperbound's resellers closed more than double the amount of revenue in TWO weeks this January than we did in all of Q1 last year. So many people told us partner selling wouldn’t work this early. That it would be a time suck, slow us down, and not be worth the effort. They couldn’t have been more wrong. Here’s how we structure our relationships with our resellers to set everyone up for success: 1. Empowered resellers from day one We know Hyperbound has wide applications, but we don’t need to conquer every space ourselves. We’re strategic about who we work with, prioritizing domain experts who deeply understand their market. 2. Meet with every reseller on a routine basis We don’t just hand them the product and hope for the best. We make sure they’re constantly aligned, supported, and given the same level of attention as our internal team. 3. Dedicated engineering time for reseller demo environments If they can’t demo it, they can’t sell it. We don’t just tell our resellers to figure it out, we give them custom-built demo environments that let them showcase Hyperbound exactly as it should be sold. 4. Built a new pricing model just for resellers Instead of forcing a one-size-fits-all model, we built a flexible pricing structure that makes sense for how they sell, so they don’t hit roadblocks when trying to close deals. 5. Jump into their negotiation and security calls Resellers aren’t on their own when it comes to tough conversations. When needed, we step in directly to help close deals, address security concerns, and make sure nothing gets stuck in procurement. 6. Offer direct texting and WhatsApp support Constant communication means deals don’t stall. Our resellers have reached “personal number” status with us. They aren’t in my pinned messages (only Atul gets that privilege) but I wouldn't be surprised if they get there one day. 7. Created a 60-slide “how to sell Hyperbound” deck A playbook specifically designed to teach resellers how to demo, pitch, and position Hyperbound to different types of buyers. They don’t just get the product. They get the entire sales strategy behind it. 8. Provided 10 pages of onboarding materials Because selling a new product isn’t easy, and we want our resellers to feel like an extension of our own sales team. The more prepared they are, the faster they can win deals. Resellers aren’t just an afterthought for us. We treat their deals like our own.     I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for a third time in the past year, thanks to Matthew Glennon. Sales as a craft (and the technology that supports it) is constantly evolving which means that I have a responsibility to adapt the way I run my sessions. In these sessions, we explore what a career in sales can look like, break down how to make cold calls, and wrap things up with a cold calling competition. The competition typically starts with small breakout groups, where each group selects a winner. Those winners then go through a role-play scenario with me in front of the class, and from there, we choose the overall winners. This time, thanks to Sriharsha Guduguntla and the Hyperbound team, we leveraged their AI training platform to run the second round of role plays and determine the winners using their scoring model. We had an absolute blast and I'm already looking forward to next semester. The students who learn to embrace AI and technology in their first sales role will have a significant advantage over those who don’t.
