Thank you, Bob, for your valuable contribution. Your efforts and insights have been greatly appreciated.
Raoul B?ck contributes to disruptive technical solutions needed to overcome the constraints of hybrid-electrical systems and to improve the overall efficiency of aviation gas turbines. ??? ?? ???????? ???????? ???????????????? ???????????????? ??????… “HYLENA Project and HybVer. In HYLENA, I am working on characterizing the thermodynamic performance of a highly integrated hybrid-electric propulsion consisting of a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) and a Gas Turbine (GT) for a regional aircraft. The waste heat and water of the SOFC will be integrated within the thermodynamic cycle, which is aimed to improve overall propulsion system efficiency. In HybVer, I am working on the incorporation of the electrical motor in our in-house thermodynamic performance synthesis model framework?for a partially electrically driven compressor. This layout improves the engine’s operating range and helps reducing overall CO? emissions.” ?? ???????? ?????? ???????? ???????? ?????????? ???????? ???????????????? ???????? ????… “to discover and brainstorming new possible designs for aircraft propulsion. I work with brilliant colleagues and like-minded people from industry and research. At #BauhausLuftfahrt we are tackling the hard questions of the future of aviation which we intend to make green and well integrated within society.” ?? Raoul is part of the Innovative Propulsion Systems team, his research focus is “Propulsion System Design”. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and Thermal Power (propulsion) at Cranfield University in England. #ShapingTheFuture #ClimateNeutralAviation #TeamBauhausLuftfahrt
