Making life better by improving the power of water
关于我们
Hydrosome Labs is a Chicago-based B-to-B biotechnology company on a mission to change lives by changing water. Our technology, Hydrosome H2O, is a natural and chemical-free process that improves the power of water through the emerging science of ultrafine bubbles. The innovative process delivers active ingredients to cells more efficiently and completely with multiple applications across personal care and cosmetics, beverages, precision fermentation, and controlled environment agriculture. Uses range from helping plants grow faster and healthier with less fertilizer, improving nutrient uptake in skin care, delivering faster, longer lasting, and improved hydration in performance drinks and better yields for precision fermentation. Hydrosome H2O also allows manufacturers to do more with less, use fewer chemicals, reduce environmental impact, and shorten supply chains. The company and advisors include business and R&D execs from Fortune 500 companies like P&G, Goldman Sachs, and Nestle Health Sciences, as well as the Intercontinental Exchange, owner of the New York Stock Exchange. Key Takeaways from Nanobubble 2024 by Nick Jackowetz Interest and research into ultrafine bubbles (UFBs) continue to grow, and this is on full display at the biannual Nanobubble 2024 conference held on October 10-12 in Kyoto, Japan. These tiny bubbles, which are too small to see, might be useful in many different ways: - Emerging applications?for UFBs focus on faster/more efficient fermentations, boosting algae growth, killing harmful pathogens, improving food taste, and drug delivery. - It can be tricky to measure these UFBs. Current tools work well for larger UFBs, but struggle with the tiniest ones. Hydrosome Labs and top universities think the smallest bubbles might be the most interesting and are investigating ways to harness the full potential?of all UFBs. - Companies like Hydrosome Labs are working hard to create UFBs of different sizes and concentrations. Hydrosome is also exploring new ways to pack these bubbles with various gases. As we learn more about UFBs, we might discover even more amazing uses for these invisible helpers!

Study Reveals Significant Potential of Hydrosome Technology in Enhancing Gut Health and Reducing Inflammation In advance of Supply Side West, Hydrosome today is releasing new pre-clinical research on the potential link between Hydrosome technology and gut health. The Microbiome study builds upon previous peer-reviewed research highlighting the link between ultrafine bubble water and gut microbiome diversity. The trial was conducted on mammalian test subjects and compared populations consuming purified water with and without ultrafine bubbles. The trial went beyond existing research by looking at longer-term consumption (12 weeks vs. 4-8 weeks for previous research) and critical health measures. Results indicated statistically significant changes in gut microbiome composition consistent with prior studies. Most notably, significant increases in short-chain fatty acids, including butyrate, iso-valerate, and valerate, were observed, alongside decreases in inflammatory markers such as IL-1BETA, TNF-ALPHA, and IL-10. Commercial applications could ultimately include various products in the food and beverage categories.

FIVE QUESTIONS FOR HYDROSOME LABS COO JAY CHAMBERLAIN ?1.?? You were one of the first investors in, and people involved with Hydrosome Labs. What did you see in the potential of the technology? "There was a lot of anecdotal evidence I saw over a three to four-month period when I was first introduced to the technology and looking to possibly invest. Most of it was around hydration and gut health. We didn't know why it was helping, but the evidence was hard to discount. I knew if we could first figure out how the water was different and why it had a positive impact, we could build a successful company centered around human health." 2) What has changed since you've been involved? The company is barely recognizable now compared to what we looked like initially. Before the discovery of our Hydrosomes (ultrafine bubbles), we didn't know what we had outside of anecdotal evidence that there was something different about the water and that it had a positive impact on biological systems. Now that we know we're making Hydrosomes, it has opened up new opportunities and applications we never could have imagined when we first invested in the technology." 3) Your background is that of an entrepreneur in the area of logistics. How did your background prepare you for your role as Chief Operating Officer for Hydrosome Labs? "Now that we have commercialized the technology and continue to expand the footprint of what it can do, there is a logistical component that continues to evolve. Believe it or not, water transportation isn't easy, especially ultrapure water in large quantities. After thirty years in logistics, my network of experts and carriers has been invaluable. Now, as we license the technology, our model is partially shifting from the logistics of shipping water to a more efficient support and maintenance program." 4.?What new things have you had to learn in this role? "For years, my only role in logistics was to coordinate the pickup and delivery of a shipment. Understanding how the shipped product was made and what went into packaging the product was not necessary on my end. Now, after producing and shipping tens of thousands of gallons of water, I have a new appreciation for what shippers go through to get their products to customers." 5)??What excites you most about Hydrosome Labs' technology's ability to improve lives? "Over the past several years, we've seen our water impact everything from plant growth to skin penetration to increased efficiencies in fermentation processes. But as we learn more and more about what these Hydrosomes can do, I'm positive our technology will have a huge, positive impact on human health—everything from increased hydration to better gut health to more effective cellular delivery of nutrients. That is what excites me most."
