We're thrilled to be selected for the inaugural cohort of the Builders Lab, a new accelerator program from Terner Labs which works to scale efficient, cost-effective and sustainable methods of housing delivery across the United States. The program will connect us with some of the best minds in construction to help scale Hydronic Shell retrofits in the coming years. This is a critical step towards achieving our vision and we’re so grateful for this opportunity. We’re especially thrilled that our partner Cycle Retrotech is also a member of this cohort! We’re incredibly fortunate to welcome Akshay Ramani, PE as the newest member of our Hydronic Shell team. Akshay is one of the brightest young stars in our industry and he will help lead our engineering work at this critical stage of our development, as we prepare to commercialize and scale our technology. Akshay graduated from the top technical university in India, National Institute of Technology, Surathkal (NITK), and earned a masters degree in mechanical engineering from UPenn before starting his career in NYC in 2017. Since then he’s proven that he has the talent, experience, and work ethic to make a big impact. We’re so grateful that Akshay has chosen to join us and that his efforts will be focused on helping to solve some of our industry’s biggest challenges. Please join us in welcoming and congratulating Akshay as he embarks on this new journey.

We’re honored to be a runner-up for the American-Made Program EAS-E prize. Six incredible finalist teams competed for $2.4 million in prizes, all developing critical innovations to facilitate home electrification at scale. We spent over a year working intensely on this competition and our technology made huge progress in that time. The Grand Prize winner received a $1 million cash prize, and the three Runners Up received $325,000 each. We are thrilled to announce that Ben Silverman has joined HST as our new Chief Development Officer. We couldn’t imagine a better person for the role. After getting his B.Arch from UPenn and M.Eng from Stevens Institute, Ben spent several years as a facade engineer at prominent NYC firms. His drive as an entrepreneur and vision to create a healthier more sustainable world then led him to co-found his own start-up that would transform vertical farming. Upward Farms pioneered innovations in aquaponic vertical farming with a focus on premium produce and protein at an affordable cost via automated manufacturing and Ben drove the technology development as the CTO for 10 years. Ben’s many responsibilities included overseeing the design and construction of large complex vertical farming facilities, including advanced mechanical and control systems as part of their automated agriculture technology. Ben will play a crucial role in advancing our technology, overseeing manufacturing processes, and engaging with partners and customers. With extensive expertise in building enclosures, Ben will facilitate our collaboration with facade manufacturers and installers to ensure a seamlessly integrated and optimized solution. Ben also knows how to build a business, and he’ll bring that experience to help HST realize our full potential and maximize our impact. This is a big moment for HST and we’re so grateful that Ben has decided to join us.?
