The shift to low-carbon power generation is essential to achieving net zero. As we phase out fossil fuels, hydrogen offers a flexible, clean alternative to support energy security and decarbonisation. That’s where the Hydrogen Valley programme comes in. Positioned in the heart of England, the programme is driving: ??Hydrogen production and infrastructure to support the power sector ??CO? reductions across energy-intensive industries ??Investment and job creation in the West Midlands and East of England By integrating hydrogen into power generation, we can build a more resilient, low-carbon energy system for the future. Get involved in the Hydrogen Valley programme! Visit www.hydrogenvalley.co.uk to find out more. #Hydrogen #PowerGeneration #Decarbonisation #NetZero

Heidelberg Materials UK is taking exciting steps towards decarbonising asphalt production by trialling hydrogen as a direct replacement for fossil fuels at their Criggion site in Shropshire. Heidelberg also have sites across the Hydrogen Valley region and we’re looking forward to continuing to work closely support their decarbonisation journey. It’s fantastic to see organisations like Heidelberg Materials driving sustainability in manufacturing while protecting jobs and attracting investment for the UK’s industrial future. By embracing hydrogen, Heidelberg is demonstrating how innovation can reduce carbon emissions without sacrificing industrial progress. Watch the video below to learn more about this important initiative and the role hydrogen is playing in the UK’s journey to net-zero! #Sustainability #Decarbonisation #MadeWithHydrogen #Hydrogen
Heidelberg Materials UK is innovating in order to #decarbonise their asphalt production. Asphalt is an essential product that we use every day on our roads, footpaths, airport runways, playgrounds, and much more. As with many manufacturing processes, its production currently relies on incredibly large amounts of energy, coming predominantly from natural gas, and the temperatures and processes required cannot be achieved through electrification. At Heidelberg Material's Criggion site in mid-Wales, they will be trialling the use of hydrogen as a direct replacement for the fossil fuels currently used, investing and innovating as the UK move forwards to decarbonise and not deindustrialise. As a member of Made With Hydrogen, we are proud to be working alongside Heidelberg Materials and many others to secure the UK’s industrial future: protecting jobs and attracting investment.?
