?? Today, we’d like to introduce you to the #EUeic Portfolio we're part of! Mi-Hy is funded through the European Innovation Council, and specifically the #EUeic Pathfinder Challenge "Carbon dioxide and nitrogen management and valorization." This initiative aims to identify and accelerate the development of the most promising EU technologies to capture and convert carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N) into useful products. The results will address the challenges of climate change, global warming and water/soil pollution in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal. In this challenge we are partnered with several other projects that aim to advance technologies for CO2 and nitrogen capture and valorization. Collaborating allows us to position Europe at the forefront of sustainable CO2- and N-compounds management, support climate objectives, and foster networking within the innovation ecosystem the portfolio creates, in order to boost technological autonomy within Europe. Transforming Waste to Value ?? More than 30 representatives from eight projects met at the annual meeting for the #EUeic funded portfolio on “CO2 and Nitrogen Management and Valorisation”. The eight initiatives - CONFETI Project EU, DAM4CO2, #ECOMO, HYDROCOW, ICONIC, Mi-Hy, MINICOR, and SUPERVAL - SUstainable Photo- ElectRochemical VALorization of flue gases - are formed by multidisciplinary teams from universities, research and technology organizations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises ?? ? Collectively, these projects have embarked on a common mission to pool their resources and expertise to transform pollutants and waste into energy and value-added products, in an economically and environmentally sustainable way. As part of the #CO2 and #Nitrogen valorization portfolio activities funded by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), project HYDROCOW organizes the Junior Scientist Meetings (JSMs) for all portfolio members who identify as early career scientists. The idea is to get to know each other, network, and share knowledge and experiences through discussions, workshops, and presentations! In the first meeting, we had a great workshop and whiteboard session about how to communicate and network:

In other words, HYDROCOW aims to produce milk with CO2 and electricity, removing the cow from the process.
