While we in the USA are celebrating our Thanksgiving Holiday where we come together as families to express our gratitude for all that we have. We realize that many in the world are not as fortunate regarding food security. At Hy-Line, we wish to recognize the world's egg farmers who tirelessly work to 'feed the world' every day providing valuable, nutritious, economical egg protein to their local populations. In many parts of the world, food insecurity is a very serious issue and particularly so in sub-Saharan Africa. With this in mind, we also wish to recognize our friends at Blessman International for all of the work that they do with children throughout the nation of South Africa and particularly for their cooperation with Hy-Line International to provide 2 eggs every day to the children in our egg project. We celebrated with Doc Blessman and the kids at the local school who have been receiving 2 eggs per day for some 18 months now during the International World Egg Day in October and look forward to this ongoing cooperation. Happy Thanksgiving to our USA friends today as well!

Achieving 5 week old body weight targets is essential in long cycle egg production to realize the genetic potential in hen-housed egg numbers as well as maintaining strong shells. Investing time, effort and resources into the early growing period will yield dividends to the egg producer during the production cycle.

Hy-Line International participated in the OVUM '24 tradeshow in Uruguay receiving customers from the Latin America region. Dr. Petek Settar, Hy-Line Senior Geneticist, presented on the Genetic Advancements in Hy-Line varieties, while Gustavo Wassermann, Commercial Director, and Mauricio Sanabria, Commercial and Technical Manager to LATAM, met many Hy-Line customers.

Hy-Line International and Tashkent Parranda, Hy-Line distributor to Uzbekistan, recently celebrated our 15 year anniversary with local egg producers and industry experts in attendance in beautiful Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Hy-Line's commercial director, Gustavo Wassermann together with the regional manager, Vitaliy Goncharenko and regional technical specialist, Oleg Gubenko, toured the newly inaugurated parent stock farm as well during the visit led by Miragzam Mirsaatov, president of Tashkent Parranda company.

Hy-Line is proud to announce the participation of Dr. Petek Settar, Hy-Line Senior Geneticist, as a speaker at the XXVIII Latin American Poultry Congress next week in beautiful Punta del Este, Uruguay. Dr. Settar will speak on the "Genetic Advancement in Layers". The three day event will bring in thousands of poultry producers from the dynamic Latin America region which as an market produces approximately 10% of world egg production and continues to grow. Vitor Arantes, Global Technical Services Manager - Nutrition; Daniel Valbuena, Global Technical Services Manager - Management; and Valeriy Stepanenko, Europe Technical Sales Manager partnered with the Borrás family, owners of Avigan Terralta, based in Taragona, Spain, and their team hosted poultry experts from all around Spain during a roadshow event to discuss management and nutrition of the Hy-Line Brown Max. Avigan has been a Hy-Line distributor for some 40 years leading the market in chick quality and customer service.

China, India and the US round out the top 3 egg producing countries around the world. The top 10 countries comprise 71% of all of the world's production. Egg production outpaces population growth rate as annual per capita egg consumption grows throughout the world as more people incorporate egg protein as a part of their daily nutrition regimen.
