These tests are part of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing, ensuring devices meet regulatory standards for operation in environments with high levels of electromagnetic energy. 𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑰𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒔 ➡️ Control Software – Compliant with IEC/EN 61000-4-3, IEC/EN 61000-4-20, automotive, and MIL standards, the software automates and manages the entire test process. ➡️ RF Power Amplifier(s) – The software adjusts the signal generator output for each test frequency, which is then amplified to achieve the required test field strength around the EUT. ➡️ RF Relay Switching Unit – To cover the full test frequency range, 2-3 RF amplifiers and multiple antennas are typically required. Software-controlled switching relays streamline connection changes, enhancing efficiency. ➡️ Transmitting Antenna(s) – Broadband antennas, like the ALX-4000 (30 MHz to 4 GHz), can be used for both immunity tests and emission measurements. For immunity tests, double-stacked log-periodic antennas like the AXL-80 are recommended due to their higher gain, reducing amplifier power requirements and costs. ➡️ RF Field Strength Meter – A compact field strength meter measures uniform areas and generates field strength, with data transferred via a fiber optic link to minimize interference. ➡️ RF Power Meter / Directional Couplers – The EUT replaces the field strength probe during testing. Power measurements ensure exposure to the specified test conditions, with forward and reverse power monitored up to 6 GHz using directional couplers and devices like the PMS 1084 or ECU-3/-6. ➡️ RF Cabling – critical in radiated immunity testing, as cable attenuation can impact whether the desired test level is achieved.
