We are thrilled to welcome Westley J Crouch to the board. An Army veteran and reporter for the Aspen Times in our beautiful Roaring Fork Valley, he sees his role on the board as an opportunity to support the organization’s vision and ensure that those who attend its programs can experience the same sense of renewal and connection that the mountains have long provided him. We welcome our newest Huts for Vets board member, Skip N.! Skip has over 20 years of fundraising experience in higher education and two years volunteering on our trips. We are honored to welcome a seasoned leader to the board and are excited about the future. Welcome aboard, Skip! Skip is the Senior Director of Development and Alumni Engagement at the Fletcher School at Tufts University. Prior to joining Fletcher, he was at the Harvard Business School for twelve years, most recently serving as Philanthropic Advisor, Principal Gifts and International Strategy. He has also served as Senior Director, Principal Gifts at Mass General Hospital and was previously a Senior Major Gift Officer at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. In addition to his 20 years of higher education fundraising experience, Skip retired as a Colonel in the United States Marine Corps after completing 28 years of active and reserve service. Skip received his B.A. from Denison University and his M.A. from the Catholic University of America. He is also a graduate of several military schools, including the Naval Flight School, the Army Airborne School, the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the Joint Forces Staff College. He has earned many awards from his time in service to our country.

?New Year, New Partnerships! ? Huts for Vets is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Fisher House Foundation. Through their Hero Miles program, Fisher House has pledged to cover travel costs for our participants, ensuring veterans from across the United States can join us in Colorado for immersive wilderness therapy. This incredible support removes a significant barrier, allowing more veterans to experience the healing power of nature. Thank you, Fisher House, for helping us make a difference in the lives of those who served!

We are excited to announce that Huts for Vets recently received a generous grant from The Diane & Bruce Halle Foundation to support our Veterans' Immersive Wilderness Therapy Programs for three years. This multi-year funding will allow us to expand our programming and provide even more veterans with life-changing experiences in the wilderness. We are deeply grateful for the Halle Foundation's commitment to supporting veterans and helping them heal through the transformative power of nature.?
