    The founder journey is hard. I mean really hard, particularly if you're very particular, like me. Lots of hard work and lots of pressure of course mean many hours of work, and so it's incredibly important to take some down time and focus on family and relaxation. Am I still working? Of course I am (a bit). Do I mind? Not at all. Doing something you love doesn't feel like work, especially when you're by the pool, in 35 degrees with a cocktail in hand!

    The last six months have been an immersion into the world of pitching to investors. Here are my top 3 learnings: ? 1. Keep it short. Often pitches are seen in the same session as others, so going on too much won’t help your cause. You need to be credible but this is definitley possible in 10 well thought through slides or fewer. We've even done 5 minute pitch presentations and it definitely helps you decide what is really important. ?? 2. Storytelling. Focus on the story. The problem - how you found it and how you will solve it. Bring to life the people who will benefit from your solution and why. How will it change their day to day work or lives. Send round a fuller, figure laden presentation afterwards if need be, once investors are captured by your story. ?? 3. It is as much about the team as the idea. People need to trust you, your experience and your ability to execute - so focus on this as much as the idea. Relevance in the industry and proven delivery experience can only help. As a extra point, what has surprised me most is that even though sometimes you get a yes ? and sometimes you get no ? , the reasons for either are not always logical. You just have roll with the highs and lows, keep believing in yourself and your idea and push on regardless…. Those are my thoughts but would love to hear yours too...
