Unveiling the transformative impact of a visionary gift ... Huntsville Hospital's first-ever external naming and plaque is now proudly displayed at HH Main in honor of IronMountain Solutions, Inc. CEO Hank Isenberg's $1 million gift to Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Isenberg is a Huntsville Hospital grateful patient and HHF Board member whose leadership and generosity will impact countless caregivers, patients and families to come. By designating his donation to the area of greatest need, this visionary gift will go even further to touch a variety of priorities that will elevate patient care across our not-for-profit hospitals. Thank you, Hank, for your vision, partnership and friendship!

  • The use of an AED within the first six minutes of a heart event exponentially increases the patient’s chance for survival. We are proud to play a role in increasing access and training for AEDs in our community. Thank you to the Community Foundation for providing generous grant funding toward this initiative!

  • Exciting news! We have officially relocated to 699 Gallatin Street, Building A, Huntsville, AL 35801 (across from the new federal courthouse). ?? This puts us closer to the Main hospital campus and cause we are so honored to serve. It also frees up much-needed space in our former building for HH Health's Accounts Payable, Payroll and Decision Support teams as they grow to serve the System. Our phone number remains the same at (256) 265-8077. We look forward to seeing you at our new office!

  • A beautiful Japanese maple tree now grows proudly in the Blackwell Medical Tower Healing Garden in honor and memory of Huntsville Hospital's former chief operating officer, Chuck Stokes. Family, friends and employees recently gathered at a memorial service and plaque unveiling to celebrate Chuck's life and legacy as an inspirational leader, mentor, and friend to many. Chuck's family hopes the tree will provide a healing place of peace and solace for all who visit. The memorial service concluded with a candle lighting and moving call to action - "May his light now be yours to share." We will always remember and deeply miss Chuck and the bright light he provided to our hospitals and community.

  • Today is #givingtuesday! ?? With your gift, we can revolutionize pre-hospital trauma care by providing new blood warmers, rapid infusers and transport coolers for HEMSI. Just a few years ago, blood transfusions during transport were impossible. Now, with your help, HEMSI will be able to complete a blood transfusion in as little as three minutes, before patients even arrive at our Huntsville Hospital Level I Trauma Center. Thanks to Bentley Buick GMC your gift can count DOUBLE! They are matching all donations up to $20,000, so you can have 2x the impact. • Thirteen new Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) just completed Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Inc.’s rigorous 10-week EMS Academy — a unique “earn-as-you-learn” workforce development program that helps fill a local, critical need for more trained EMTs. HHF is grateful for the incredible generosity of the Regions Foundation which provided a $150,000 grant to HHF to help two recent classes of EMS Academy students train, graduate, and pursue their dreams. "I want to help people – that is my calling. I really think this step opened up a lot of doors for me and helped me get to where I am right now,” grateful graduate Mardaisha Derrick said. “I would not have thought about going to college if it weren’t for the HEMSI program." Thank you, Regions Foundation, for opening up doors and helping create bright futures for our community! You can read more of Mardaisha's story by clicking here >> https://lnkd.in/gjQDw4mM

  • It is an appalling statistic, but healthcare workers are assaulted more than any other profession in the United States, representing 73% of all workplace injuries due to violence. HHF has been working with our Huntsville Hospital Security team and administration to look for ways to address this national issue at the local level. We are teaming up with Madison County Commission to fund?an innovative security software system to ensure the safety of our incredible Huntsville Hospital care teams?as they work tirelessly to care for you.?Thank you to Chairman Mac McCutcheon and the Madison County Commission?for allocating $50,000 in funding to help us launch and implement this security software system. This new, comprehensive security software system will streamline our security and centralize our database, allowing HH Security to "be in more places at once", tracking what is happening within our hospitals, collecting data, recognizing incidence trends, alerting security and more.
