?? Happy National Flower Day! ?? We can all agree—flowers are beautiful. But today, we’re shining a spotlight on the often-overlooked charm of native wildflowers. You may not have to go farther than your own backyard to find them! ?? Wild violets, goldenrod, blue mistflower, partridge pea, and even blue-eyed grass (a lily, not a grass!) are just a few native beauties that are often mistaken for “weeds.” Take a closer look and you’ll see: vibrant colors, unique shapes, and incredible resilience. Even better? Pollinators love them too! ???? Native flowers don’t just look good—they do good by offering food, shelter, and nursery space for local wildlife. This #NationalFlowerDay, take a moment to truly see the native blooms around you. You might just discover a whole new level of appreciation for what’s growing wild and free. ?? #HSVgarden #NativePlants #FlowerPower #PollinatorParadise #MindfulMoments #CelebrateNature

?? Spring is in full bloom at HBG! ??? Daffodils, the symbol of hope, resilience, and new beginnings, are putting on a stunning display throughout the Garden. While not native to the U.S., these bright blooms have naturalized here, thriving beautifully without disrupting the ecosystem. With over 32,000 registered cultivars, daffodils come in a dazzling array of shapes, sizes, and colors. And if you love a good story—Greek mythology tells us that these flowers get their name from Narcissus, a man so captivated by his own reflection that he became part of the landscape… (so maybe don’t stare too long at Little Smith Lake! ??) Now’s the perfect time to experience these fleeting beauties—join us at Huntsville Botanical Garden and celebrate the arrival of spring! ???? #SpringAtHBG #DaffodilSeason #BotanicalBeauty #HBG #NatureInspires
