The Huntsville Madison County Builders Association is a professional trade association dedicated to supporting its membership by promoting the building industry and improving the quality of life in the communities it serves. Our members comprise an organization that has been and continues to be the voice of the housing industry in the Huntsville Madison County area for more than 70 years. The Huntsville Madison County Builders Association is a professional trade association dedicated to supporting its membership by promoting the building industry and improving the quality of life in the communities it serves. The Association is a local chapter of the Home Builders Association of Alabama and the National Association of Home Builders. Chartered in 1957, the organization is comprised of over 1,300 members which include builders, remodelers, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, financial institutions, Realtors, and so many more. The Association produces the Parade of Homes, Spring Home + Garden Show, and the Fall Home + Garden Show on an annual basis to promote the building industry and provide the consumer with an opportunity to view the finest companies in the home building industry. Active in the community, the Association, through its Foundation, contributes thousands of dollars annually in education scholarships for persons who are pursuing an education in a building industry related curriculum. Additionally, the Association through its members has donated thousands of dollars in in-kind services and material donations to various charitable building projects.

ICYMI: The HMCBA would like to wish a very happy retirement to our Executive Officer, Barry Oxley. After 38 years of working in the nonprofit sector, and 7 years serving as the Executive Officer for the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association, Barry will reside in Auburn, AL with his wife, Julieann, and son, Gideon.? ? Under Barry's leadership, the HMCBA has thrived locally and on a national level within the National Association of Home Builders. Some of Barry's more notable achievements include the creation of the North Alabama Homebuilding Academy, which has helped more than 450 individuals start their careers in the construction industry, being recognized by NAHB for seven national Association Excellence Awards for being the best association in the country for various categories, and fostering an environment of inclusion and collaboration that has led to a significant growth in membership and retention. In recognition of these achievements and many more, City of Huntsville, AL Councilor Bill Kling presented Barry with a resolution recognizing his many years of service. ? The HMCBA is thrilled to announce the completion of a new home built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of the River Valley. This new home, built entirely through HMCBA member contributions through labor, materials and financial donations, will service as a safe and affordable home for one special family in our community. Partnerships such as this serve as a testament to the impact we all can have on the community through collaboration for a good cause. This project was made possible from the incredible contributions of our HMCBA members. Together, we’ve built more than just a house – we’ve created a place where dreams can grow and memories can be made.
