Sunday, November 10, marked Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET) Awareness Day. While our NET team wasn’t in the office that day, they showed their support yesterday by proudly wearing zebra stripes. Why zebra stripes? Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) are rare, much like a zebra in the medical world, making the pattern a symbol of awareness and connection for the NET community. As a national leader in multidisciplinary NET care, we’re dedicated to providing innovative treatments, compassionate support, and hope to patients and their families facing this unique cancer.

Such an important conversation led by Dr. DeeDee Johnson and Dr. Jess Jewell! The effects of social media on mental health, particularly in young people, is an area that deserves much more attention. Their presentation on 'Digital Delusions' is a critical step toward understanding and addressing these issues. #MentalHealthAwareness #YouAreNotTheOnlyOne #MentalHealthMatters
Honored to share that our very own Dr. DeeDee Johnson and Dr. Jess Jewell represented Huntsman Mental Health Institute at the 2024 National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs Southeast Regional Conference. Their insightful presentation, "Digital Delusions: Unraveling Social Media-Induced Illness and Munchausen's by Internet," contributed to the much-needed dialogue on the impacts of technology on today's youth. ?????? #TechImpact #MentalHealthAwareness #HuntsmanMentalHealthInstitute #DigitalDelusions

The Huntsman Family Foundation will receive the Foundation Spirit of Giving Award at this year’s Utah Philanthropy Day celebration! This award recognizes the incredible, transformative work of the Huntsman family in tackling some of our community’s greatest challenges. For decades, the Huntsman Family has been a beacon of generosity and innovation, from their groundbreaking work in cancer research through the creation of the Huntsman Cancer Institute to their continuous support of cutting-edge treatments like proton therapy and the recent opening of a state-of-the-art Cyclotron facility. Their impact goes beyond just research—they’ve also launched the Huntsman at Home program, extending hospital-level care to rural communities, helping cancer patients receive treatment in their own homes. Their commitment to mental health is just as remarkable. With a $150 million donation to establish the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, the family is driving forward mental health awareness and care, ensuring that all individuals can access the support they need. Through their philanthropy, the Huntsman family has not only made a significant difference in healthcare and community support but also inspired others to take action. Their legacy of giving shows us all what it means to truly care for the community and embody the spirit of giving.
