AdventHealth Taneja Center for Surgery is a six-story, 300,000 SF hospital expansion that reshapes the entire Tampa campus. The goal of this addition was to place patient access to the surgery center at the front door of the hospital. The new tower is visible from a busy intersection, acting as a billboard for the entire campus. The design of the center focuses on incorporating natural light, biophilic elements, texture, and warm materials throughout the public spaces. A double-height lobby featuring a monumental staircase connects the main concourse with the surgery center on the second floor. Taneja brings innovative surgery practices to the Tampa community by utilizing clean room-based air delivery and indigo lighting systems to reduce surgical site infections. As the community grows, the facility can expand up to 300 beds, further solidifying its impact. The HuntonBrady team celebrated Friendsgiving during lunch today. Members of our staff brought in homemade dishes and desserts, while our awesome Office Manager Terri Merrill catered the turkey. Everyone was invited to spend time together in the main conference room, where jokes and antics were in abundance (as per usual). ???? We're grateful to work with an amazing group of people that have worked hard this past year on many exciting projects, both big and small. As we near the end of 2024, we want to say a huge “thank you” to the entire HuntonBrady team, our clients, contractors and consultants, and the wonderful State of Florida!

We had a fantastic time yesterday at the Lakeland Regional Health - Women in Philanthropy luncheon! Our Lakeland project team joined hospital executives and other community members to show their support for Polk County. Comedy legend Molly Shannon enjoyed a "fireside chat" with LRH President and CEO, Danielle Drummond. We got to hear Molly's story as she shared victories and challenges that she has encountered throughout her life, which left the group feeling appreciative and energized for attending the program! HuntonBrady is grateful for our continued partnership with Lakeland Regional Health-Florida and we love getting to spend time with our client at events like this!

AdventHealth Riverview is the newest of the health system’s hospitals in the State of Florida. The four-story, 282,000 square foot facility expands AdventHealth’s services on Florida’s west coast and was designed with future growth in mind. HuntonBrady collaborated with AdventHealth to design a destination for high-quality healthcare with a hospitality-like feel. The new hospital welcomes patients and staff with its crescent-shaped structure, acting as an embrace upon arrival. A two-story public concourse, gift shop, chapel, multiple courtyards, and full-service café provide ample amenities for staff and families. The new Riverview Hospital will provide the community with access to much needed healthcare services, including surgery, imaging, an emergency department, and a mother and baby unit. We are extremely proud of this important project, and we’re excited to watch the campus grow alongside the city of Riverview! It’s always a great day when a new project opens! Our team recently travelled to Yulee, Florida to celebrate the grand opening of Baptist Health’s newest free-standing emergency department and imaging center. The 24,000 square foot Nassau Crossing facility includes Wolfson Children's Hospital, and will provide state of the art healthcare to the growing Yulee community. The design was inspired by the surrounding natural landscape, featuring stacked stone and an inviting ACM panel canopy covering the patient drop-off. Please join us in congratulating José Luis Rivera Colón, AIA, CSI, CDT, NCARB on his recent licensures! Not only is José now a licensed architect in Florida and Puerto Rico, but he also recently received his Construction Document Technologist (CDT) certificate, NCARB certificate, and became a member of the The American Institute of Architects (AIA). As part of our education and commercial teams, José brings great energy and expertise to many of our projects. Becoming licensed takes hundreds of hours and hard work, and we love getting to celebrate with our team when that dedication pays off. Congratulations on all of your new letters, José!

Our team was thrilled to attend a recent ribbon cutting alongside Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare and The St. Joe Company for their newest medical office building. Principal Paul Macheske, FAIA, FACHA, LEED AP and Project Manager Kyle O. represented HuntonBrady at this exciting event last week in Panama City Beach. The new 80,000 square foot facility is the first structure on the Panama City Beach Health Campus, which will include a full-service hospital by the end of 2026. We are so appreciative to be involved in delivering a much-needed healthcare resource to the Bay County community, and are looking forward to watching this campus grow over the next few years!
