Another exciting green roof project is on the horizon! Later this month, a one-acre green roof will be installed at the Spark Therapeutics, Inc. Cell and Gene Therapy Innovation Center in downtown #Philadelphia. This project, powered by Columbia Green Technologies / Sempergreen Group, will grace the Drexel University property. Vermont Stone Art had the pleasure to host engineer Alex Hermsdorf from the Hunter Roberts Construction Group and engineer Austin Hourican from The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western this week at one of our production facilities for a final materials inspection. The cut to size granite will now be shipped to a precast facility in Chesapeake Virginia for final assembly. Then final assembly will be shipped on barges along the coast into NYC harbor and finally installed by The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western on the seawall at Battery Park City Resiliency project in Lower Manhattan. I would like to thank all teams involved including the Stantec team in the NYC offices Would also like to thank all of our team members from Vermont Stone Art whose work got us to this point. Vermont Stone Art is always interested to help with specifications, detailing, offering budget pricing at design phase and offering VE options to fit construction budgets.
