We are excited to participate in TPP and work with the future of the American Shipbuilding workforce!
We're excited to celebrate with the Pittsburgh Talent Pipeline Program (TPP). On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh TPP Signing Day event recognized over 700 skilled tradespeople who joined or reached their one-year anniversary with employers supporting the Defense Industrial Base. In just its 2nd year, the Pittsburgh pipeline has already doubled its impact, expanding from 30 to 60 participating companies and now reaching across Western PA, Northeast Ohio, New Jersey, and Maryland. With three additional coaches joining its team, its seven dedicated professionals work tirelessly to enhance the Talent Acquisition and Retention processes for the employers in the program. This event showcases the program's success in helping to build a critical workforce to sustain America's maritime capabilities. From welders and electricians to fabricators and inspectors - these are the highly skilled professionals building our nation's fleet. As we welcome this next wave of talent, we also recognize the invaluable collaboration from industry, academia, and community partners that make progress possible. Together, we're strengthening national security and our communities one skilled tradesperson at a time. Congratulations to all the new hires and participants! The future of American shipbuilding is in your skilled hands.
