Astra Tower is officially complete! ? This 41-story luxury high-rise now stands tall in downtown Salt Lake City, setting a new standard for sustainable urban living. Hunt Electric is proud to have played a key role in Astra's journey to LEED Gold Certification and WELL Certification, reinforcing a commitment to both environmental responsibility and resident well-being. From the very beginning, our Electrical, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Technology Divisions worked together to power Astra's sustainability features. Our contributions included: ? Installing energy-efficient electrical systems to support Astra's high-performance infrastructure. ? Equipping the building with three 4000-amp generators and supplying permanent power. ? Implementing low-blue light and intuitive lighting systems that adjust to natural circadian rhythms, enhancing both energy efficiency and resident wellness. ? Leveraging our in-house Prefabrication team to reduce waste and maximize efficiency in a tight urban environment. As we celebrate National Engineers Week, we want to recognize the incredible engineers who make projects like Astra Tower possible. Their expertise, problem-solving, and innovation drive sustainable solutions that shape our cities for the future. Collaborating with Jacobsen Construction, our team tackled the unique challenges of a downtown high-rise with careful coordination, adaptability, and innovation. The result?
