??? ??The road to recovery after disaster is much longer and harder without a sense of the journey ahead. Hummingly created the Cards for Calamity to help guide locals through the long haul of recovery. Why is supporting locals with recovery knowledge so important?? We know it is the locals who will drive and support recovery for communities long after the sirens and media have disappeared. It is locals who can best put recovery knowledge to use as they: ??lead their households through recovery, ??support their neighbors ??advocate for and make informed decisions for their communities. I want to spotlight this fabulous human! Lexi Potter and I have been providing practical wellbeing tools and workshops to public health workers all over Colorado. This is us about to present to a team in Fort Collins yesterday. It's been quite the endeavor and quite the adventure, only made possible by Lexi's hard work and dedication. This project is the final component for her Masters in Public Health at the Colorado School of Public Health and will help us evaluate the impact of the work we do to sustain critical health workers. Feeling hopeful and inspired for the future of public health after connecting with a bright, hard-working student ready to step into the field.
