Yesterday we hosted our Annual General Meeting and were thrilled so many engaged members were in attendance. The evening saw Kerry Grigg, PhD, Chair of the Board and Stephen Capello, CEO, lead conversations on our performance over the last year - highlighting that while growth and financial returns are key factors of our success, Hume Bank remains focused on delivering value to its community. Creating safe communities was a key theme for the evening with the recipients of the inaugural Safer Community Fund grants announced - we'll be sharing more on this in the coming days. To conclude the evening, a panel discussion around the often-hidden issue of financial abuse was held. The discussion featured subject matter experts Catherine Fitzpatrick of Flequity Ventures and Kelly-ann Tansley of the The Zahra Foundation Australia, who highlighted exactly how this issue can present itself and what we can all do to better support those vulnerable to abuse. A big thank you to everyone who came along!
