People like seven-year-old Zahir, who lives in the Kakuma refugee camp in #Kenya... HI teams have been working with Zahir since he was a baby to develop his physical and cognitive abilities. His efforts have paid off - today, he attends school and has made great progress!

The U.S. Campaign to Ban Landmines has published a statement urging the Latvian government, as well as those of Estonia, Lithuania, and Poland, to reconsider their intent to withdraw from the #MineBanTreaty. This dangerous decision would have catastrophic consequences and put the lives of their people at risk. https://lnkd.in/eZMrFKdi

Today, Fifaliana has gained new confidence thanks to an improved #prosthesis provided by HI that allows her to walk, run, and enjoy her favorite sport - soccer! ?

For 4 months, Alberto Trentini, an Italian aid worker with HI has been detained without formal charges by the Venezuelan authorities. Meet Gabriel, a 10-year-old boy with cerebral palsy living in the Nakivale Refugee Settlement in #Uganda! ?? Nakivale has been his family’s home since 2022, when they were forced to flee the violence in the Democratic Republic of #Congo. Ever since, Gabriel had long dreamt of going to school. Today, with a new wheelchair and support from HI's #rehabilitation and #inclusion teams, that dream has become a reality!
