The Automated Vehicles Act 2024 received Royal Assent this Monday. This historic legislation establishes a comprehensive framework for the deployment and operation of self-driving vehicles on British roads. ? The Act sets out clear rules and regulations for the safe testing, deployment, and use of automated vehicles, providing much-needed clarity for manufacturers, operators, and the public. ? Stringent safety standards and rigorous testing protocols have been put in place to ensure the highest levels of safety and reliability for these cutting-edge vehicles. ? By creating a supportive regulatory environment, the Act positions the UK as a global leader in the development and adoption of automated vehicle technology.
