Do High School Athletes Need Performance Testing? ?? Before the season kicked off, Academy of Holy Angels soccer and football players visited the Human Powered Health Edina Performance Lab to identify key metrics related to power, endurance, and explosiveness. We paired their initial results with continual on-campus tests to keep track of the athletes and ensure they maintain their health and performance levels. This investment allows the athletes and coaches to continue optimizing their training while uncovering strategies to reduce the risk of injury all season long. These state tournament contenders are using data to get an edge and stay safe. #highschoolsports #athletes #performancetesting #health #football #soccer #minnesota #minnesotaathletes

Gassing out before the end of your games? Some athletes can crush their peak power numbers on a Watt Bike, but have room to grow in sustaining that energy! ?? If you're someone that performs well in the first part of a game, but are worse as the game goes on, interval training might be good for you ?? Interval training can help boost your body’s ability to hit those high numbers, recover faster, and go again—stronger each time. So if you play hockey, football, soccer, lacrosse, or any other sport that involves short jolts of energy you should consider mixing more interval training into your routine. Don't just build power. Build lasting power ?? #IntervalTraining?#PeakPower?#EnduranceTraining

Ever wonder why your butt hurts after a bike ride? ?? When your saddle is set too high, your pelvis rocks during pedaling, leading to chafing and irritation. Over time, this can turn a fun ride into an uncomfortable experience. The good news? A simple adjustment can make all the difference! Lowering your saddle height can help you maintain better leg extension and ride in comfort.
