关于我们
High-performance robotic prostheses and exoskeletons for research, development, rehabilitation, and evaluation. Humotech’s Caplex? system gives you the freedom to explore, experiment, and innovate with less risk and shorter development time. With Caplex, you test your ideas first, then build. Caplex is a programmable, high-performance system that lets you emulate the real-world physical characteristics of the device or concept you’re evaluating. Unlike a simulation, the user has the physical sensation of wearing different assistive devices (or device modes) while using just one device; they don’t have to switch devices. The devices are lightweight and wearable, because our powerful (and heavy) robotic components are located off-board; users don’t have to carry bulky prototype hardware while they’re testing the device.

A recent study, conducted by Dr. Philippe Malcolm and team at University of Nebraska at Omaha's UNO Sports Medicine and Biomechanics Lab, has demonstrated that delivering robotic assistance within the electromechanical delay—the brief moment between muscle activation and contraction—can significantly enhance muscle activation during arm movements. This innovative approach, which leveraged a Caplex? actuation and control system, led to a remarkable 68.97% increase in peak voluntary muscle activation during arm extension.
