While it is certain that this would have been a terrifying scene, we simply have no choice but to stan. As our adversaries become increasingly brazen, it is not lost on us that choosing to be on the right side of history will also put us on Mrs. Richardson’s side of the bayonet. The specifics of the siege we now find ourselves under may be unique, but we're careful to recall that precedent abounds for the broader challenges we face — and that there are countless examples of determination, bravery, fortitude, and strength, that we may look to in our refusal to accept inequality and injustice.
