I've had a weekend to reflect on The FUTURE Of... DESIGN. What an inspiring event! The caliber of presenters was truly next-level, with insights that will shape how we approach design, innovation, and value creation moving forward.
A few standout moments:
? Mauro Porcini - multiple discussions on maintaining the passion for design was a rallying cry to me. So many voices echoed his call to remember why we got into design in the first place—to solve, to create, to make an impact. Passion isn't just a nice-to-have; it's what fuels real innovation.
?? Leland Maschmeyer - deep dive into employment as a marketplace was a wake-up call. In an evolving landscape, it's not just about doing the work—it’s about driving and demonstrating value. The future belongs to those who can clearly articulate the impact they bring.
?? Tysonn Betts - powerful message and call to action left a lasting mark. We were all there when the room went silent as he challenged us to do our part to improve diversity. A moment of reflection, but more importantly, a call for action. 3D Color has invested in Huenited Collective, which Tysonn founded to address the need for greater diversity in design & I encourage my fellow conference attendees to do the same.
?? Special shoutout to my partner, JUNOdts, who produced individualized water bottles for the event, ensuring that attendees remember what they heard & what they promised themselves they would do. Juno is revolutionizing the can business with on-demand printing, and we’re thrilled to be part of their journey!
Journeys begin with leaders pointing the way. Special thanks to Fred Richards John Gleason, David Butler, Jenna Banks, and Elisabeth Emory for charting the course and showing us the way! Your leadership and vision are shaping the future for all of us.
This event left me energized and motivated—grateful to be surrounded by such brilliant minds who are shaping the future & thankful to have met so many wonderful people.
One last shoutout to Olga Cuzuioc Sinchevici for corralling us and driving action.
