We were thrilled to welcome Dawson Palmarini as an honorary Hudson Regional Hospital EMS team member as part of his mission to visit first responder agencies across the state! After overcoming a traumatic brain injury, Dawson has since visited nearly 50 agencies! On October 15th, he toured our EMS ambulances and met with the Secaucus Police and Fire Departments. We honored him with a certificate, patches, and a duffel bag of HRH swag! Thank you for inspiring us all, Dawson! #FirstResponders #CommunityHeroes #HudsonRegionalHospital

Hudson Regional Hospital proudly hosted its 7th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event on Sunday, October 13, 2024, marking our largest turnout with over 70 participants! Our esteemed physicians—Dr. Higgins, Dr. Sachs, and Dr. Asulin—delivered insightful presentations on breast cancer risk factors and the role of genetics in the disease. Attendees enjoyed complimentary health screenings for glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure, with guest vendor Natera offering valuable genetic testing services. We were especially moved by the inspiring words of Brenda Green, a 7-year survivor, who shared her personal journey and highlighted the importance of self-breast exams, mammograms, and genetic screenings. As a token of appreciation, guests left with a goodie bag filled with HRH gifts and a delicious pink ribbon cookie! #BreastCancerAwareness #HudsonRegionalHospital #SurvivorStories #PinkRibbon #FightAgainstBreastCancer

IHudson Regional Hospital is pleased to once again host the NJ Jewish Business Alliance’s Annual Law Enforcement Meeting, focusing on safety and security for the upcoming Jewish High Holidays. The meeting was attended by multiple police departments, including the NJ State Police, Hudson County Police, Transit Police, as well as representatives from Union, Bergen, and Somerset counties. Municipalities such as Bayonne, Secaucus, Union City, Newark, and Elizabeth were also represented. One of the speakers was Philip R. Sellinger, US Attorney for the District of New Jersey, who discussed measures being taken to safeguard not only Jewish communities but all communities in New Jersey. Anthony L. Romano, Board of County Commissioners member, who attends every year, also addressed the attendees. Honored guests included NY Judge Louis Nock and Chaplain Yisrol Bursztyn of the New Jersey Chaplains Association, who informed the audience about the meaning of the holidays and stressed the importance of community awareness and involvement in the coming weeks. Each year, more police departments attend the informative and educational session, and Hudson Regional Hospital looks forward to continuing its relationship with the organizers. #HudsonRegionalHospital #NJJewishBusiness #Seacacus #Communityinvolvment #Communitysupport #Jewishholidays #Policedepartments #Police #NJChaplainsassociation #NJPolice #Hudsoncountypolice

Hudson Regional Hospital was pleased to once again be a major sponsor at the Frank A Pinto Foundation's Annual Cornhole Tournament, which took place on September 14th. The event, in conjunction with the Secaucus PD, brought together dedicated Cornhole players and members of the community. The Foundation was formed by the family of the late Frank Pinto, a retired North Bergen police officer who always supported local Hudson County communities, especially Secaucus. His children, grandchildren, and other family members wanted to continue his generosity. The Foundation has been very kind to HRH over the years, especially during COVID, by providing snacks and treats to our healthcare team. #CornholeTournament #CommunitySupport #HudsonRegionalHospital
