Programs like Hudson Link are vital in New York State prisons, transforming lives and offering second chances through education. Stories like Christopher Martinez's, who made history as the first currently incarcerated person to speak at the New York State of the Judiciary, highlight the profound impact of these initiatives. Together, we are changing narratives and building brighter futures. #HudsonLink #EducationForAll #BreakingBarriers

关于我们
We envision lives that are transformed with the help of education in order to break the cycle of crime and poverty. To make this vision a reality, Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison provides college education, life skills, and re-entry support to currently and formerly incarcerated people so they can make a positive impact on their own lives, their families, and communities, resulting in lower rates of recidivism, incarceration, and poverty. In 1994, college degree programs at Sing Sing Correctional Facility and other New York State Prisons were terminated when state and federal governments withdrew financial support. In 1998, aware of the devastating effect this would have on prison morale, Hudson Link for Higher Education was formed to fill this incredible need. In 2001 seventeen men at Sing Sing graduated from the Hudson Link program with a Bachelor's degree. Today: Hudson Link has granted over 1,000 degrees and over 1,500 of our alumni have been released and are leading productive lives in their communities and with their families. We currently sponsor college credit-bearing and college-degree granting programs in Sing Sing, Sullivan, Greene, Green Haven, Shawangunk, and Taconic Correctional Facilities, in partnership with nine local colleges.

Last Friday F.Y. Eye wrapped up our second #NonprofitCoLab cohort with an incredible Pitch Day, where seven teams of artists, nonprofits, and WPP volunteers presented powerful #PSA campaigns they’ve spent the past four months developing. We kicked off with Lucas Hunt (Founder of HUNT Philanthropy) as our Master of Ceremonies, Jonathan Sanchez (SVP Communications & Public Affairs, North America, WPP), and Christina Daigneault (Executive Director of F.Y. Eye), who set the tone for the day for creative impact, storytelling, and mobilizing media for good. Then, each team took the stage, sharing their vision. ?Congrats to this year’s cohort of seven nonprofits: Natural Areas Conservancy, Tech Kids Unlimited , Elmcor Youth & Adult Activities, Inc.,? El Puente, SAGE, #CommunitiesNotCages, and University Settlement Society of New York ?And to this year’s Impact Artists: Carla Torres, Daniel Stark, Hoda Ramy Jardley Jean-Louis, Shristi Singh, Utsa Ramaswami, and A.J. Cincotta-Eichenfield, LMSW, OSW-C A huge thank you to The New York Community Trust for making this program possible. We are also immensely grateful to our coaches and speakers Zac Roy, Matt Sollars, Charlie Sherman, Pilar Finuccio, Prachi Rao, and Jason Lim who helped shape these campaigns, and to the Nonprofit Co-Lab judges who helped select this year’s cohort Nicole Robinson-Etienne, Adam Robinson, Adam Rattner, and Anat Gerstein. Thank you to LinkNYC for their generous donation of kiosk screen time for each of the PSAs developed in this program. This program would not have been possible without the tireless dedication and partnership from the WPP team, especially Tikki Mitchell-King, Khari Motayne, and all the volunteers whose collective efforts made these PSAs a reality. Now, we bring the PSA campaigns to the streets of NYC! ?? #NonprofitCoLab #PSAsforGood #CreativeImpact #StorytellingForChange
