Last week, Jarrell ISD welcomed the return of its historic 1916 Building with a ribbon cutting that came 14 months ahead of schedule! A building with deep meaning to the Jarrell community, the 1916 Building was the district's schoolhouse for nearly a century before closing its doors for more than a decade when Jarrell High School opened in 2007. Thankfully, the community sought restoration of the establishment as part of a 2021 bond package. In June 2023, Jarrell ISD formed a committee with the intention of capturing the building's meaningful history and renovating it for future service. With its reopening last week, Jarrell welcomed back a piece of its cherished past and new future.
