“Too often, funding for well-being is a band-aid that stops the bleeding after the wound has been inflicted. But it doesn’t address what is causing the wound.” ?? Funders, Rusty Stahl’s article in PEAK Grantmaking is a must read. In his reflections, Stahl underscores the need to rethink overhead costs, recognizing the importance of fair pay and benefits for nonprofit staff in reducing burnout and turnover. https://lnkd.in/eCqtCERe Since the beginning of the Hub ONE venture, we’ve explored ways to compensate talent fairly to fuel sustainable impact. We welcome you to explore this perspective in Stahl’s article and in our Pay Equity case study. https://lnkd.in/e_nc5M8x #Nonprofit #PayEquity

At Hub ONE, we believe that listening is the cornerstone of effective funder-grantee relationships. We’re embracing this by implementing an Equitable Facilitation Model during our listening sessions with the Western Michigan University Evaluation Lab. Andrew Spector is doing great work in this area via The Patterson Foundation’s blog, emphasizing the importance of not arriving to a conversation with pre-set answers. Spector notes that true collaboration comes from curiosity and openness, creating space for stronger, more informed outcomes. ?
