Two of our team members recently attended the annual Rainscreen Association in North America (RAINA) conference. RAINA, an international not-for-profit association, is committed to advancing building science practices through the use of rainscreen wall assemblies. Danko Davidovic, senior building scientist at our Commerce, GA, facility and co-chair of RAINA's Residential Committee, shared updates on the committee’s activities and highlighted generic wall assembly detail terminations with a drainage mat rainscreen product created by the committee task group. Nick Sabol, senior product application specialist at our HQ in Charlotte, NC, also made valuable contributions by developing generic rainscreen assembly detail drawings to support builders and architects. We’re proud to be part of such an innovative community, collaborating to drive excellence in building practices across the industry.

Exciting things are happening at Shuqualak Mill. Construction and staffing are in full swing at our new facility in Mississippi. The construction team is hard at work, focusing on cranes, debarking lines, and heat, energy and press areas. We're thrilled to welcome Hunter Winborne, SHRM-CP as the human resources manager for the Shuqualak Mill. Hunter is spearheading our hiring efforts and building a talented team for this facility. Stay tuned for future updates on our newest facility!

Communication is key. ?? Matt Minchew has been guiding our facility teams through psychological safety sessions. Recently, our Broken Bow, OK, team dedicated time to exploring and discussing communication strategies that encourage psychological safety, ultimately boosting employee engagement and collaboration.
Thanks to the Huber Engineered Woods team in Broken Bow, Oklahoma for a productive time together this week. We learned about the connection between psychological safety and employee engagement, and we talked about simple but impactful communication skills for building this quality. At J.M. Huber Corporation we view culture as strategically important, and together we are strengthening our environment where everyone can contribute and learning is celebrated. Together we will go far! #huberculture #ibelongathuber

Last night, we had the opportunity to shine the spotlight on the Gary Sinise Foundation at the NAHB International Builders' Show. We're proud to say that, through our partnership with the foundation, we've donated $1M in HEW products that supported the construction of 50 mortgage-free homes for veterans, first responders and their families. A highlight of the night was hearing Army veteran Bryan Anderson’s story of strength, resilience and a life changed after receiving a home from the Gary Sinise Foundation through their Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment program. We're thankful for leaders at Huber who have championed this cause and helped foster this partnership, including Brian Carlson, Lea (Chambers) Volpe, Kirk Blanchette and Christopher Vegas, a Westpoint graduate and Army veteran. We also thank our incredible partners at the Gary Sinise Foundation, including Peter Franzen. Learn more about the foundation and how you can help: https://lnkd.in/geuFCjv
