Last night at the Annual Moles Award Dinner Jim Maxwell was honored as the 2024 recipient of the Non-Member Outstanding Achievement in Construction Award. Gary Almeraris of Skanska received the Moles Member Award. Together these are the most prestigious awards in the construction industry. Alissa Maxwell, as a Moles member, introduced her father as the recipient and Jeff Maxwell gave voice to the speech Jim wrote with his special eye tracking software. Jim has been afflicted with ALS for nearly 5 years and is completely immobile.?Jim’s award inducts him into The Moles and now Alissa and Jim are one of few father and daughter pairs in The Moles. Other non member recipients are a who’s who of giants in the construction industry.?Names like Walsh, Zachry, Deere, Fluor, Jacobs, Bechtel, Parsons, Atkinson, Terzaghi, Kiewit and many more including President Herbert Hoover.?
