We are pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Gavin, MD, MBA, MS, as Vice President, Chief Clinical Innovation Officer, and Associate Chief Medical Information Officer of the Mount Sinai Health System. In this new role, Dr. Gavin will lead a newly formed team whose goal is to identify and test how the delivery system can be redesigned. Key areas of focus will include shifting inpatient care to the ambulatory or home setting, partnering with tech companies seeking to use our Health System as a learning laboratory, and bringing rigor to the way in which we test delivery system innovations that are created internally or through partnership with external entities by applying behavioral economics principles and data-driven insights to optimize patient and provider decision-making. #WeFindAWay

Chester, known as “Chet,” is a proud Veteran and patient at Catholic Health Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation. For years, Chet was an established carpenter and home builder. His woodworking interests led him to make his first wooden rocking horse for his daughter over 46 years ago, and he continues to make them all these years later.
