?? Hiring a PM is the same for every company, right? Not so fast... To all my candidates out there, which one are you? To all my hiring managers, which one are you looking for? Are you interviewing in such a way to only find those you're looking for? Hiring the "incorrect" one for your role doesn't mean you will fail, but it will mean you won't quite grow the function as well as you want/need to at your particular stage.
