Following the inauguration in January and the swift actions of the new federal administration, members of HSITAG’s Topics & Trends Committee began work to kick off a new workgroup focused on administrative policy. Given that HSITAG members and their clients have a significant interest in the actions of the federal administration, HSITAG leadership and the Topics & Trends committee identified the need to track these actions and report to the membership. HSITAG's Medicaid Unwinding Workgroup has spent countless hours focused on monitoring, analyzing, and supporting the challenges presented by the conclusion of the Medicaid continuous enrollment provision. During their tenure, this group played an instrumental role in tracking state policies, identifying best practices, and developing strategies to ensure that eligible individuals retained their benefits amid the transition. As the workgroup has reached its culmination, we want to reflect on their learnings and accomplishments, as well as share our gratitude for industry professionals, government partners, and stakeholders who have dedicated themselves to ensuring a smooth transition through Medicaid’s unwinding process. With the new year in full swing, HSITAG’s Topics & Trends Committee is as focused as ever. Members are spending time monitoring the expected changes to HHS programs from the new administration. States will more than likely have to address impacts to funding, new regulations, and enhanced scrutiny on efficiencies, and the Topics & Trends committee is exploring the ways in which they can provide support and thought leadership in navigating these changes. #HHSIndustry #HSITAG #Change
