We’re on site taking a closer look at how we protected a Killdeer nest during construction. The Killdeer is a ground-nesting bird that’s drawn to the very same open, gravelly conditions that our job sites often create. That meant we had to get creative to safeguard the nest while keeping the project moving and staying in compliance. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Utah State University and a Master of Science degree in Geology and Paleontology from Brigham Young University.
