关于我们

Since our founding in 1947 as a small, family-owned paving company in State College, Pennsylvania, HRI, Inc. has grown to become a major contractor working throughout the Commonwealth. Today, as a part of the large multi-national corporation Colas SA, we have the support of a global organization dedicated to all aspects of the road building industry. Our construction operations consist of asphalt paving, heavy and highway construction, structures, utilities and treatment plants, site work, and more. The majority of our construction projects are with PennDOT and local municipalities, but we also perform a significant amount of work for our private customers. We have the capabilities and expertise to complete a wide variety of projects, large or small. Our projects have included everything from multi-million dollar highway projects and large commercial site work, to emulsion application, recreational facilities, and parking lots. HRI's manufacturing facilities, which include six hot mix asphalt plants, provide a variety of bituminous products for numerous state and local agencies and private contractors, as well as our own projects. Supporting these construction and manufacturing operations are over 700 dedicated HRI employees and our fleet of more than 1,400 pieces of heavy construction equipment and trucks.

HRI Utilities - Blacklick AMD Treatment Plant HRI, Inc. has recently entered the plant startup and commissioning phase on the Blacklick Creek Acid Mine Drainage Treatment Facility located in Vintondale, PA. This major milestone signifies the beginning of treatment for the underground mine water which has collected in three abandoned coal mines around Blacklick Creek. To-date, construction crews have placed over 3,400 CY of concrete, 23,000 LF of pipe, and have moved over 43,000 CY of earthwork. When running at designed capacity, the treatment facility will process over seven million gallons of raw mine water each day and will be responsible for reclaiming twenty-five miles of Blacklick Creek, which had become polluted by acidic mine water discharges. The mine water is being extracted from four different well sites and pumped to the treatment plant, then processed through the various stages of treatment, and finally released back into Blacklick Creek. The residual sludge will then be pumped offsite and back into the abandoned mines at two injection well sites. In the spirit of positive community stewardship, HRI along with the Pennsylvania DEP are organizing an open house at the treatment facility in late March. Local residents will be invited to the facility where they can learn about the function of the plant and how it will work to improve their community. Our crew members have worked diligently to complete this project for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. HRI looks forward to continuing its efforts in reclaiming abandoned coal mines across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This project is a great example of our commitment to having a positive impact on the communities around us.
