Two superstar 5th graders from Kilgore Gifted Center in Hampton have blown us away with a fundraiser that collected over 1,000 non-perishable food items for our Foodbank. Huge shout out to Sydney and Makayla, along with their amazing teacher Ms. Ferrel! These ladies initiated this food drive at a time when donations often decline, showing the true power of compassion and community. Shoutout to McIntosh Elementary School for creating a domino effect of kindness! With 238 boxes of cereal donated to help families facing hunger, these students are proving that small acts can create BIG impact. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day — especially for children — and their generosity will help provide a strong start to the day for our neighbors in need. Shout-out to William & Mary Men's Basketball and #FoodLionFeeds for turning every free throw into meals for our community through the Score to Give More program! For every free throw made this season, 100 meals were donated — totaling 30,000 meals to help nourish our neighbors.
