This year marks a very special milestone: 10 years of transformative funding from the Health Research Board (HRB) for the HRB- Trials Methodology Research Network Ireland.
It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m so proud of what the team, collaborators, and supporters have achieved together.
Since 2014, we’ve:
?? Published over 175 research papers and contributed to 100s more
?? Trained 53,000+ people in trials methodology and trial essentials
?? Supported dozens of projects tackling challenges like recruitment, novel designs, and inclusivity
?? Inspired global organisations to adopt our SWAT seed-grant funding model
???? Engaged 1,300 primary students to design and report 65 child-led trials
?? Connected 3,000+ members of the public across 72 countries in “The People’s Trial”
?? Led the prioritisation of questions we should all focus on to make trials better
.....and so much more
A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to this journey—researchers, trialists, educators, and the public and patients who believed in our mission. These achievements wouldn’t have been possible without the Health Research Board (HRB)'s support and the dedication of so many.
We’ve put together two videos to reflect on this decade of progress. I hope you’ll take a moment to watch and celebrate with us.
