  • Attention all professionals! Margie Faulk here to share some important news with you. The Department of Labor has published the Overtime Final Rule, and it includes a significant increase to the EAP salary threshold. The current threshold of $684 per week ($35,568 annually) for a full-year hourly worker will change to $1,128 per week ($58,656 annually) - a nearly 65% increase. Highly compensated employees will also see an increase from $107,432 to $151,164 annually. The final rule also includes a three-year automatic adjustment mechanism for updating the salary threshold. Although the rule won't go into effect until July 1, 2024, organizations have until January 1, 2025, to comply. It's never too early to start making changes to ensure compliance. Stay informed and take action now!
