Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC)

Kristina O'Brien, SDDC's deputy to the commanding general, presented a coin to Scott Lockwood, a Program Analyst for the Second Destination Transportation Centrally Managed Accounts at the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing, to recognize his outstanding contributions during his rotation at SDDC. Lockwood participated in the SDDC/SCOW Employee Exchange Program, which enhances interagency collaboration and broadens logistics expertise. During his rotation, Lockwood demonstrated exceptional analytical skills and initiative. He quickly mastered the complexities of surface movement operations and contributed insights into Army TAC codes, providing direct benefits to SDDC teams. Lockwood engaged in hands-on experiences with international cargo management, strategic deployment operations, and logistics processes, which deepened his understanding of sister service functions. Lockwood exemplified the program’s mission to foster professional development and promote knowledge sharing between SDDC and SCOW. His recognition highlights the impact of joint logistics initiatives in enhancing mission readiness and interagency cooperation.

SDDC's Director of Public and Congressional Affairs, Fred Rice, delivered an in-depth command brief to #ROTC cadets from St. Louis University during their visit to Scott Air Force Base, IL. Coordinated by USTRANSCOM, the visit provided cadets with valuable insights into the commands' mission and its critical role in global military logistics and operations. This engagement was part of a broader effort to mentor and inspire the next generation of military leaders, showcasing the vital contributions of both SDDC and USTRANSCOM.

?? 2025 Mentorship Program Launched ?? SDDC has launched its 2025 Mentorship Program, designed to support the career growth of civilian employees. Now in its second year, the program pairs mentors and mentees to strengthen skills, share knowledge, and provide career guidance. The initiative aligns with SDDC’s Strategic Human Capital Plan and ensures the workforce remains mission-ready to support the warfighter.
