Howarth Contractors is delighted to announce that we have entered into a Development Agreement with Accent Group for the design and construction of 21 affordable homes at Guildford Road, Lightwater. This project will help address the need for affordable housing in the region, providing much needed homes for local residents. The development at Guildford Road marks the beginning of a promising partnership between Howarth Contractors and Accent Group. Dylan May, Land Director at Howarth Contractors says, ‘We are excited to bring this much-needed affordable housing project to fruition. This is our first Contract with Accent Group, and we are looking forward to progressing further opportunities together in the future.’ Cherise Berridge Assistant Development Director at Accent Group says, ‘We are delighted to be partnering with Howarth Contractors in our core area of Surrey Heath. The thoughtfully designed scheme on a former brownfield site, will improve the area for everybody while providing much needed affordable homes in the borough.’ The project will focus on creating high-quality, sustainable homes that meet the needs of the community. Howarth and Accent are committed to delivering and ensuring the project is completed to the highest standards. We will soon be commencing on site and are projected to be complete in 2026.?

Howarth Contractors are pleased to have now handed over a landmark affordable housing development in Henley-on-Thames. Funded by Gresham House’s Residential Secure Income LP (ReSI LP), a limited partnership investing in shared ownership housing, the project has been developed as part of a joint venture between Gresham House and Howarth Contractors. Comprising 43 shared ownership flats across two buildings, the development is the first in Henley made up entirely of affordable housing, which will deliver much needed affordable housing to the local community. A mixture of one and two bed flats, the project includes a shared courtyard and children’s play area. The site is only a short walk from a wide range of local amenities including Henley railway station, which provides easy access to Central London. We look forward to working on future projects with Gresham House.

??Howarth Christmas Party?? Last Friday Team Howarth all got together for their Christmas night out. It was a great evening where we all got to show our competitive side with some arcade racing, followed by amazing food and drinks.

Thank you Shanly Homes for arranging a 11 aside football game against Howarth Contractors last Friday night at Beaconsfield Football Club. Even though we struggled with numbers, it was great fun for all and congratulations to Shanly who beat us 5 – 1.?Howarth definitely want a rematch once the teams legs have recovered and hopefully we will be able to field a full side next time!!

We’re pleased to announce we have topped out at London Road in Brentford. Key partners involved in the project from Howarth Contractors and SNG (Formerly Network Homes) were joined by guests from London Borough of Hounslow including the Mayor, Cllr Karen Smith. The development is located on London Road opposite Syon Park on the site of a former Royal Mail depot. When complete there will be 32 apartments for London Affordable Rent, 27 for Shared Ownership and 10 for London Living Rent, a Mayor of London scheme which helps customers save for a deposit to buy their own home. The scheme also has office space facing London Road which will support local employment opportunities. Ben Searle, Managing Director at Howarth Contractors said: “It has been a pleasure to work alongside SNG and reach this special milestone in the construction of our all-affordable development. The topping out ceremony marks an exciting point in our journey providing much needed homes for the residents in the London Borough of Hounslow which when completed next year, means we have delivered over 400 affordable units to SNG over the past few years.”

Howarth's Macmillan Coffee Morning was a huge success and was great to do our bit in supporting people living with cancer. We are pleased to welcome Dave Willmore to the team as Commercial Director. Dave previously worked at Barratt Homes & Willmott Dixon and brings with him a wealth of knowledge, that will support the growth of Howarth Contracting.

We are happy to announce the promotion of David Holmes (MRTPI) from Head of Planning to Planning Director. David has been with us for over 2 years and in his time with us he has made substantial contributions to the business including managing and securing planning for 220 units at Smiths Farm, Northolt This promotion is a testament of his hard work and dedication to the business and we look forward to working with David as we continue to grow and establish Howarth Contractors as the Contractor of choice to our partners.
