Sabercats Youth Rugby Foundation

Our mission is to grow the sport of Rugby Union in the Houston area by funding and facilitating programs to bring the sport to young men and women aged six to eighteen. We are now the Sabercats Youth Rugby Foundation. Through liaison with USA Rugby, Texas Rugby Union, Rugby Texas, Local School Districts and Systems, as well as the City of Houston, Harris, Montgomery, Brazoria and Fort Bend Counties, the Association seeks to expand opportunities for youth participation throughout the area. The organization raises funds to educate and facilitate the growth of coaches, referees, players, administrators, leagues and clubs as well as to improve existing facilities and promote new venues for playing Rugby. Included in these initiatives is a focus on starting rugby programs at schools – both public and private. We can assist organizations such as the Greater Houston YMCA, Boys and Girls Clubs, and to improve access to the sport for children regardless of their location within the Greater Houston Region.
