Well, today was eventful! The wind here in Houston (and really all of Texas) has gotten extremely strong, but it was still a really lovely day to walk between offices. I also ended up rescheduling my visit to Paul Hastings because the power went out in their building and no one could get up the elevators! Never a dull moment on my Texas Young Lawyers Association President campaign. One remarkable moment—for the first time, a young lawyer told me he has consistently read the candidate brochures and voted in every SBOT and TYLA election. ??? ???? Today was an exciting day at the Houston First Gen Summit! I had the opportunity to share some of Just The Beginning – A Pipeline Organization upcoming programs with an incredible group of future legal leaders. This amazing event was a collaboration between the Youth Justice Alliance, Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA), and Houston Bar Association, bringing together three powerhouse organizations dedicated to providing learning opportunities for students interested in law. It was inspiring to see these groups unite to ensure students are exposed, educated, and connected to the legal field.
