Most of our members are service providers in the financial disciplines such as banking, accounting, money management, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate securities, law, commercial finance and investor relations counseling.

COMMUNICATIONS CHAIR - Amanda Beabout Amanda is an audit partner with Whitley Penn LLP in the firm’s office in Houston. In her capacity as an audit partner, she has served clients in the energy, construction, manufacturing, distribution, and ERISA industries. Amanda’s client responsibilities have included companies of various sizes from private startup companies to multinational public corporations with over $100 million in annual revenues. ? She has experience working with private equity portfolio companies and closely-held businesses. She also has extensive public company audit and accounting experience. Her work with both private and public companies has provided extensive and diverse experience dealing with technical matters such as SOX 404, foreign currency matters, stock-based compensation, international operations (including IFRS), new accounting standard implementation and purchase accounting. ? In 2020, Amanda was named as a Woman Who Means Business by the Houston Business Journal in the accounting and finance category. Amanda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA), Houston Energy Finance Group, Women’s Finance Exchange (WFE) — Houston and Women’s Energy Network (WEN). She is a past president and current Board Member of the Women’s Finance Exchange and a member of the Accounting Advisory Board at her alma mater, the University of Houston.
