Project Spotlight: Demystify Writing - Preparing for Post-Secondary Life as a Reader and Writer ? In the 2023-2024 school year, partnering with Inprint launched the Demystify Writing initiative, designed to support both HISD educators and students on their journey to post-secondary success. Through this project, the school hosted two tuition-free, multi-week Teachers as Writers Workshops, where HISD educators could strengthen their writing skills and engage in creative writing practices. ??? Students also benefited from college readiness sessions focused on crafting impactful college essays, a crucial component for post-secondary applications. Additionally, the project included bus scholarships for students to attend Inprint Cool Brains! Series events, connecting them with literary experiences and building their love for writing. ????
