Today, we give a special shout-out to Harper Young, who has shown incredible leadership and passion by raising over $10,000 for the Opportunity Fund as part of his senior project. Harper’s commitment to ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed, regardless of their socioeconomic background, is truly inspiring. In his own words: "Growing up, I’ve had ample opportunity to participate in activities that made me a more well-rounded person and prepared me for college. But I know many other children in my community haven’t had the same privilege. That’s why I partnered with the Houston ISD Foundation to create a fund that allows students to apply for financial support to pursue their high school dreams—whether it’s participating on a cheer team, attending a business or robotics camp, or traveling to compete in national competitions." Harper’s dedication to making a difference is a testament to his belief that every student deserves the opportunity to dream big and succeed. Through his work with the Houston ISD Foundation, Harper is opening doors for countless students to reach their full potential. We are incredibly grateful for Harper’s generosity and hard work.
